I don't have any questions, I just wanted to thank you for bringing life back to me.

I was so sick and now I am feeling as good as I did twenty years ago! It has been a long battle: no energy, aches and pains going from one Dr. to the next. They told me it was anything from arthritis to depression; they had me on steroids for three years... All behind me now!

I just don't know how to thank you. I think it would be wonderful if you could just be everywhere with your caring heart. Information and the real reason behind all of the bad, sick days that so many of us have had.

Sincerely, Jessica...@telusplanet.net

One In Ten Americans Have Arthritis Pain

New reports have revealed that 1 out of every 10 American adults are receiving treatment for pain caused by osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis.

21 million adults (about 9.5% of American adults) either called or visited a doctor for a prescription to relieve pain related to arthritis. The data also reports that cases of arthritis vary widely between different ethnic groups. 10.5% Caucasian adults reported having arthritis, compared to 5.9% of Hispanic adults and 4.3% of Asians. Arthritis also appears to affect women more than men (11.9% to 7.1%).
32 billion dollars was spent treating arthritis the same year the study was done. 36% on doctor's visit, 31% on hospital visits, 21% on prescription drugs, 12% on home health care, and less than 1% on emergency room visits. An average of 1,513 dollars was spent by each individual on arthritis related expenses.

My Views

While many natural compounds have some pain control properties, they seldom work well if the pain is severe because natural compounds are weak substances. One way to overcome this is to take large doses, but make sure to do it under professional care.

Interestingly, pain will oftentimes reduce if water intake is high. Pain in joints can be a sign of dehydration. Bottom line - take pain medication if you need it, and drink lots of water.
