I don't have any questions, I just wanted to thank you for bringing life back to me.
I was so sick and now I am feeling as good as I did twenty years ago! It has been a long battle: no energy, aches and pains going from one
Dr. to the next. They told me it was anything from arthritis to depression; they had me on steroids for three years... All behind me now!
I just don't know how to thank you. I think it would be wonderful if you could just be everywhere with your caring heart. Information and the
real reason behind all of the bad, sick days that so many of us have had.
Sincerely, Jessica...@telusplanet.net

While fatty fish is known to lower triglyceride levels, a new sheriff may be in town. New research is showing that walnuts lower cholesterol more than fish do. Both fish and walnuts thus help to reduce the risk of coronary heart disease. Researchers studied 25 adult participants ranging from normal to mildly hyperlipidemic. 3 different isoenergetic diets were given over 4 weeks. Fasting blood levels were taken at baseline at the end of each diet. Participants who consumed the walnut diet (1.5 oz of walnuts/day) had a 5.4% lower total cholesterol level and a 9.3% lower LDL cholesterol level than the control diet. The fish diet (8.0 oz of fatty fish/week) lowered triglyceride levels by an average of 11.4% and increased HDL cholesterol as compared to the control diet. It also increased LDL cholesterol however. Researchers state that plant omega-3 fatty acids are cardioprotective just as marine omega-3 fatty acids are. They suggest including both in your diet to lower the different risk factors.
