A new study has found that fast food eaters are clearly overweight and have a much greater chance of developing type-2-diabetes. Consuming “super-sized” portions of high calorie fast foods links to America’s growing number of bulging waistlines. It is also well known that obesity greatly influences the chances of developing diabetes.
The study showed that black women who ate fast food burgers or fried chicken at least twice a week were 40-70% more likely to develop type-2-diabetes over a 10-year period compared to their counterparts who did not touch these high-calorie foods. The BMI of those who ate fast food over a period of time was much higher than those who stayed away from fast foods.
This study associates weight gain with eating too much fast food, and both therefore leading to diabetes. Stop eating high calorie fast foods to prevent the onset of type-2-diabetes.
