I don't have any questions, I just wanted to thank you for bringing life back to me.

I was so sick and now I am feeling as good as I did twenty years ago! It has been a long battle: no energy, aches and pains going from one Dr. to the next. They told me it was anything from arthritis to depression; they had me on steroids for three years... All behind me now!

I just don't know how to thank you. I think it would be wonderful if you could just be everywhere with your caring heart. Information and the real reason behind all of the bad, sick days that so many of us have had.

Sincerely, Jessica...@telusplanet.net

Ghrelin Hormone Related To Overeating

Ghrelin, the hormone that is released when the body is hungry, has now been linked to overeating. Just 30 years ago, the average obesity rate in the US was 15%; now the average is at 34.3 %, not including another 32.7% who are overweight.

The reason why human beings are driven to eat dessert and rewarding foods even if the stomach is full is due to ghrelin telling the brain that it's hungry. The latest study looks at how ghrelin can cause mice to search out food even when they aren't hungry. Mice given ghrelin preferred a room with high fat food compared to one with regular food.

Although drugs can be developed to target ghrelin's effect of overeating, more studies still need to be conducted to confirm the actual way ghrelin works on the brain.
