I don't have any questions, I just wanted to thank you for bringing life back to me.

I was so sick and now I am feeling as good as I did twenty years ago! It has been a long battle: no energy, aches and pains going from one Dr. to the next. They told me it was anything from arthritis to depression; they had me on steroids for three years... All behind me now!

I just don't know how to thank you. I think it would be wonderful if you could just be everywhere with your caring heart. Information and the real reason behind all of the bad, sick days that so many of us have had.

Sincerely, Jessica...@telusplanet.net

Pear Vs. Apple Shaped Body

Studies have previously shown that a "pear" shaped body is better than an "apple" shaped body because excess fat stored in the stomach area puts one at a greater risk for heart disease, diabetes, and certain cancers. However, now there is a new study that shows that having extra fat in the butt and thigh area might actually be beneficial.

Hip and thigh fat have been found to help decrease heart disease and diabetes incidence. Stomach fat is more metabolically active and breaks down easily to release cytokines, which is linked to cardiovascular disease, insulin resistance, and diabetes. Lower body fat, on the other hand, produces hormones that protect against those diseases. The lower body fat also stores fatty acids, which prevents the fats from being stored in other vital organs like the liver or arteries.

Experts agree that lower body fat is much better than stomach fat. Those with pear-shaped bodies are overall healthier with fewer heart attacks and less diabetes. However, people have almost no control over where their body chooses to put its fat. That is usually determined by genetics.
