I don't have any questions, I just wanted to thank you for bringing life back to me.

I was so sick and now I am feeling as good as I did twenty years ago! It has been a long battle: no energy, aches and pains going from one Dr. to the next. They told me it was anything from arthritis to depression; they had me on steroids for three years... All behind me now!

I just don't know how to thank you. I think it would be wonderful if you could just be everywhere with your caring heart. Information and the real reason behind all of the bad, sick days that so many of us have had.

Sincerely, Jessica...@telusplanet.net

From My Kitchen
Soup Base
These two recipes can be made ahead of time and stored in glass jars in the fridge. I find it quite tasty to use this soup base to blend with raw vegetables to create a cream soup. It is full of vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients for the body. I use soup Base 1 when the raw vegetables are darker in color, such as green and red. Soup base 2 is for light vegetables, such as onions, yellow bell peppers, and potatoes.

FAQ
Q:What is the difference between an anti-aging diet and a weight reduction diet?
A: The anti-aging diet is not a "diet" in the sense that its objective is weight loss. Anti-aging diet is actually a lifestyle of dietary habits that will improve your longevity. It is therefore not a weight reduction diet per se, although it has weight reducing effects.

From Our Readers
Dear Doctor, I want to first commend you on your brilliance. This is the most informative, logical, condensed information I have ever found. I have debated becoming a natural doctor only in order to help all the people who are simply being treated by drugs for symptoms. I have been a naturalist as much as I could be, even as a young girl and my instincts were always strong regarding pollutants, etc. Are people just not that intelligent? Are these doctors? How can they not know these natural basics? As soon as I leave the worthless doctor's office, I form my own hypothesis, and sure enough, I find evidence to support it, such as your website. My periods have been irregular since they first began; chronic stress has always been present. I am addicted to sugar too. This seems to be just as addictive as a street drug. I know what I have to do. I just can't seem to finally abstain completely from sugar and get myself excited to exercise. You are great, thank you very much for your wisdom. Peace. Lisa

Quote of the Week
If I'd known I was going to live so long, I'd have taken better care of myself. ~ Leon Eldred

Only 100 years ago, the average life expectancy was 46. Today, those living in the developed countries can expect an average lifespan of 80 plus years (84 for women and 76 for men). Our children are expected to live well into their 90s. Frequently I am asked by those who are sick whether it is too late to repair their damaged bodies. My answer is “it is never too late”. Of course, the earlier you start the better. You can learn to take care of yourselves by improving your lifestyle. Good habits like exercising regularly and following a healthy diet are best developed as a child.

I want you continue your good habits and to abandon those less desirable. For more about aging, read my article: A Disease on Aging

That's A Good Question!
Question: Please explain to me how I would know if I have a concussion, and what would I need to do about it? I just hit the front top of my head when I closed the hatch on my 4x4. I did not pass out. However, I do feel sleepy and over the years, I have done stupid things like this.  I have probably hit my head hard about 5 times. Thank you.

Answer: When you have a concussion, your brain is a bit jolted. The brain is suspended in fluid, and this jolt can result in headache, seeing "stars", sleepiness, vomiting, and blurring vision. It all depends on the severity.

If any of the symptoms continue to persist, see a doctor. There could be internal bleeding that slowly accumulates over time, say a few days. The first 24 hours is most critical, so have someone make sure you can get up periodically, say every 2-4 hours.

Pain is a signal from the body that something is wrong. It's one of the few ways the body knows to communicate with us. Taking pain medication can dull this communications channel, and as a result, you may not hear the signal, overdo things and thus cause more damage, and not even know it. I rather you pay attention to your body and see a doctor as needed for your ultimate benefit. Try not to take pain pills if you cannot help it.

Finally a diet that is light will be good just in case you have vomiting. We also don't do not want the food to go into the lungs.

The key is to be alert and see doctor right away if symptoms get worse.

I applaud your decision to take control of your health. I hope my answer empowers you to make an informed decision. Feel free to continue to write back on me on this matter if you still have questions that are unresolved or need further clarification.

That's A Good Question!
Question: With reference to gum disease, which can be related to bad breath, a dentist recommended that I use a mouth wash which contained 'Thymol' as the first active ingredient. Listerine and some of the drug company knock offs seem to have it under their house label. I have concluded it does make a significant difference over the alcohol and flavor types. Also, I have always read that Coq10 at a high mg dosage (100 mg) is effective in preventing gum disease and personally I have always found those 'little round between the teeth brushes' to be helpful in the ongoing battle. It is an issue for me that I continually work on as I am now 71. And I have been told that it seems to go with the terrain. Of course the payoff is no dentures. I'm healthy and happy. But I do spend most of my waking hours on body and mind maintenance. And no one seems to mention that aspect of getting old.

Answer: There is no question that dental health is the number one cause of infection in our body. If you keep your mouth clean, studies have shown that the chances of you getting heart attack is much decreased. Removing root canals (pockets of infection) and mercury almagams (reduces immunity) are especially critical. These have all been scientifically proven. The best mouth wash is actually diluted hydrogen peroxide, and yes, CoQ10 is excellent for gum health. I also recommend you take some activated carbon and swish it around your mouth with some water and that will absorb the toxins in the mouth. When you then swallow it, it will help to chelate the metals from the GI track. The three actions above cost only pennies a day and works miraculously. Give it a try. If you have the know-hows, it is easy to keep healthy without spending too much money.
