My Opinion
Syndrome X
Those who are in the sub-clinical phase (age 35-45) and clinical phase of aging (age 45 and above) have a one in three chance of getting this syndrome and not knowing it. Perhaps the following signs are more recognizable: feeling sluggish, physically and mentally, especially after a meal. Gaining a pound here and a pound there-and having increasing difficulty losing them. Having blood pressure creep up year after year. And finding that the blood cholesterol, triglycerides, and blood sugar levels are doing the same. These are all accepted signs of aging. They are also all of the symptoms of Syndrome X.

From My Kitchen
Spinach Wrap
Spinach is high in calcium, folate, iron, vitamin C, carotene, potassium and fiber. It is also rich in antioxidants to help reduce the risk of cancer, heart disease, cataracts and strokes. The sun-dried tomatoes will help the body to absorb the iron content of the spinach.

FAQ
Q: Is enriched bread better than whole grain bread?

A: In the enrichment process, only a small proportion of both amount and type of nutrients that were removed in the refining process are replaced. Therefore, enriched bread is not as good as the whole grain bread, which has all the original nutrients.

Quote of the Week
Sickness is the vengeance of nature for the violation of her laws. ~Charles Simmons

Our body has its own language to communicate to us. Take pain for example. Pain is a signal from the body that tells us if something is wrong. It is one of the few ways the body knows how to communicate with us. Taking pain medication can dull this communications channel and cause more damage unknowingly. I rather you pay attention to your body and see a doctor as needed for your ultimate benefit. Do you know that pain is often the first sign of dehydration? Read about it in my article on Dehydration.

That's A Good Question!
Question: I am a 34 year old female and have experienced constant terrible headaches for a couple of days along with dizziness and nausea. I also feel slight tingling with a sensation of something like taking drugs. I noticed I had a quarter size lump on the skull part of my head 2 to 3 inches from the middle of my head on the left side about 3 inches from my hair line. I am very tired all the time. Any idea what this might be or how to cure it at home?

I have searched a lot on the web and a lot of people say it's lymph nodes. My grandmother had a brain tumor twice and it worries me, my mother also said I should get it checked out. I am curious about what a pro had to say without going to my doctor.

Answer: I don't think it is related to the estradiol. I am not sure what it is. If the lump is so big, then you have to see a doctor. Sometimes it could be a blood vessel that busted superficially, but that is generally soft and you can depress it. I recommend for you to see a doctor as soon as possible.

How is this related to hair loss? Well, what happens in women's hair loss is often and invariably tied to excessive testosterone (the male hormone). When your body doesn't have strong adrenals, the estrogen goes up, and some of it is internally converted into testosterone, thus the hair loss. There are other reasons as well, but this is the most common. Some antibiotics can put further stress loads to the body as well, and that can compromise your adrenal function. The good news is that once your adrenal is optimized, many of these symptoms do subside.

That's A Good Question!
