There as many alternative therapies for arthritis as there are letters in the alphabet. Some examples are zinc sulfate, acupuncture, yoga, glucosamine, and magnets. Arthritis patients use such therapies for stress, pain, stiffness, anxiety, and other symptoms that go along with the disease. My preferred treatment is exercise. A good example would be bicycling, which strengthens the quads, alleviating symptoms. Jogging and high-impact aerobics are not recommended. Swimming and water aerobics are good, as well as the practice of yoga.
