A Peanut Allergy Remedy May Be as Easy as Eating Peanuts
Over the last two decades and especially in recent news, there has been a large focus on peanut allergy remedies as well as speculation about causes. Allergic reactions to peanuts have increased drastically in the past several years with some cases resulting in very negative outcomes. This has researchers looking for new ways to mitigate the causes and even try to find a peanut allergy remedy. The traditional advice that was given to parents, to help prevent the onset of peanut allergies, was to avoid peanuts during pregnancy as well as during the first three years of a child’s life. This advice did not have the effect that it was supposed to which has left a shift in what is now recommended for new and expecting parents.
Introduce Peanut Products Early:
Recently research suggests that avoiding peanuts during a child’s early development can actually increase the hypersensitivity which leads to allergic reactions. This theory was preliminarily based on a study on Israeli children and showed that Jewish children in Israel had an allergic rate which was ten times lower than those of Jewish children who lived in the United Kingdom. This was especially interesting because it showed a group which had nearly identical genetic backgrounds but with very different outcomes.
The children who were raised in Israel had rates of peanut allergies that were significantly lower than those of their counterparts in the United Kingdom. This was linked to the introduction of peanut products early in development, beginning in infancy. One would not think that bringing peanuts into a child’s diet at such an early age would make such a significant difference, even act as a peanut allergy remedy. But, the statistics speak for themselves.
There was another study which took a group of children with strong potential for a peanut allergy, and choose to implement an early exposure method to see what the results were. This study found that when children were exposed to foods taining peanuts, at an early age, they became far less likely to develop an allergy. This is compared to the children who were not exposed to any peanut products during the same period. Even at risk children can have mitigation of chance through the use of peanut allergy remedies like early exposure.
All of this is very exciting news but it does come with a warning. Peanut allergies can be very dangerous and carry high levels of risk. If you think that you should introduce peanuts into your child’s diet, then it would be best to consult a healthcare professional before making any changes. It’s always a good idea to be safe and take a bit more time to analyze the choices you’re making then it is to rush into things. Once you’re sure that it’s a good idea to implement then you can be confident you’re making a good choice for your little one.

Not very many people know that gut health is such an important aspect of allergy prevention and cessation, but it is a crucial aspect of both. When considering something like a peanut allergy remedy you should be focused on how well the gut is functioning as a starting point. Even though this applies to all ages, let’s focus a bit on how necessary it is for a young child to have a healthy gut.

It should also be remembered that even though pregnancy is a critical developmental time for your child, proper gut health can be addressed at any stage so do your part to make it a priority.
Another aspect of maintaining healthy gut bacteria, in infants, is through breastfeeding. When you breastfeed your child, there is a normalization of gut flora in their bodies that happens as a transfer from you to them. Not every woman is able to breastfeed, and there are other things that can be done for small children if this is the case. The gut is tied into several aspects of health. Those aspects range from metabolic to immunological responses, and even mental well-being.

Consider introducing fermented foods into your diet or the diet of your child. “Leaky gut” is often a contributing factor for allergies and the risks can be greatly reduced with fermented foods that promote healthy gut flora. This could accidentally send your goal of using diet to help, as a peanut allergy remedy, out the window.
A lot of food sensitivities eventually cause the body to either crave poor food choices or limit what you can consume, making it difficult to keep up with a healthy diet. These sensitivities can also lead to AF if your microbiome isn’t healthy enough to let you absorb what you need.
Dietary changes are something that is specific to each individual and making sure you’re choosing what’s right for you, is a necessity for safety. Practicality plays a part in this as well and not everyone experiences the same reactions to food so be careful when you implement anything suggested in this article. If you are suffering from AF it might not be due to poor gut health. There are a multitude of aspects that could be triggering your problems and it is best to consider everything with a full mind-body approach if you’re not sure what the causes are.
Can Stress Affect My Allergies?
While there are many people who will gladly modify their diets to alleviate issues associated with allergies, it’s not often considered that there could be a mental aspect to reactions as well. There is a system through which our bodies respond to stress known as the NeuroEndoMetabolic (NEM) Stress Response. This response starts off as neurotransmissions but ends up culminating in physical responses throughout the body. When we talk about helping your gut health progress to where it should be, you have to consider the fact that high stress can also impede nutrient absorption.
It works in a complex network comprised of the neurological, endocrine, and metabolic systems so none should be ignored. The focus here is on what happens when you get stressed; the body sends signals to the adrenal glands which then release hormones to induce the physical side of the NEM Stress Response. These hormones do several things to alter your physical state but they relate to allergies especially because they interfere with how your body would normally recover from allergic reactions.
This is not to say that stress causes allergic reactions directly, only that it plays a role in more chronic patterns and complications. When you are stressed there is a continual battle your body is going through to recover and make itself ready for proper functionality. Recovering from AF is as important as implementing ways to combat allergies. The great thing is that when you take steps to mitigate allergic susceptibility by way of the dietary changes suggested earlier; you’re killing two birds with one stone. Rejuvenating your gut health for you or for your child will greatly increase the ability to recover from stress and lessen the likelihood of developing AF. That, however, isn’t the entire picture. You will have to find ways to lower your stress levels or you could be fighting a losing battle. When the NEM Stress Response isn’t activated as often, you have a much better probability of succeeding in whatever health goal you have set for yourself.
There is no better time than the present to consider how you can make some simple changes to lessen risks of allergies and AF. If you have children or are planning to have children, consider how your stress may affect their health. You need to work on yourself before you can help anyone else and it doesn’t matter whether you’re planning to have a child or already do, you can promote a healthier gut and mind for yourself and them. Think about safety and long-term benefits whenever you’re informing yourself about different options available because what we’ve talked about today may not be the right thing for you.
