I am a 26 year old female and have been diagnosed with PCOS.

Q: I am a 26 year old female and have been diagnosed with PCOS. I have not had a period in two months. My doctor wants me to go on birth control to regulate my periods. What can I do to start my period naturally?

A: First you need to check and make sure all other functions are intact. Many conventional doctors recommend birth control pill to regulate quick prematurity in my view. I tend to not recommend that unless there is absolutely no choice. Most of the time, PCOS is a reaction of underlying estrogen dominance and metabolic dysregulation such as sugar imbalance. Most of the time, if a person focuses on normalizing these two areas, PCOS spontaneously does resolve by itself.
