I am a mess
Q: I am a mess. I have been suffering from Candida and other health problems for years and my health is declining. About 3 weeks ago, I started having flare ups of Interstitial Cystitis, which I have never had that bad. On top of everything else, I now have developed sleep problems due to lack of sleep because of urinating all night. I am assuming this is really stressing my adrenals. I haven’t been able to get good sleep now in those 3 weeks. I am 43 years old and I feel like my life is getting worse and worse. When I try to lie down and go to sleep, I feel like I am trembling and can’t sleep. This usually occurs until 3 or 4 am. I can’t even nap during the day like I used to. I find myself crying more because I don’t know what to do. I have read where a person with adrenal fatigue needs to take vitamin C to get better and because I have interstitial cystitis and can’t take the acid from the vitamin C this concerns me. Is there any way around this, so I can get my adrenals healed while I am dealing with interstitial cystitis?
A: The awakening in the middle of the night is frequently indicative of cortisol and insulin imbalance. The body goes into adrenaline rushes when that occurs. There are many ways to deliver vitamin C, so it’s not a problem even with your cystitis issue most of the time. You are decompensating, and that is not good, but do not worry because adrenal fatigue can often be overcome if you are on the right path.
