People with adrenal fatigue often need frequent meals. Since this salad recipe is super tasty, it can be a great option as a snack or a meal. This is especially helpful for people who feel tired and are required to eat frequently but have less appetite.

Incredible Benefits of Creamy Chicken Salad

Consuming a good amount of protein, fresh organic green vegetables, healthy fats, and natural sugars is good for your adrenal health. This creamy chicken salad is filled with the goodness of protein from chicken, dietary fiber and vitamins from Bibb lettuce and chives, and healthy fats from olive oil, making it a great addition to an adrenal fatigue diet. The balanced protein, sodium, potassium, and natural sugar helps nourish the adrenal glands so they can recover better.

Adrenal fatigue is surprisingly common. If you are suffering from tiredness, dizziness, irritability, insomnia, difficulty waking, or gaining stubborn fat around the waistline, Adrenal Fatigue Syndrome (AFS) might be the cause of your health problems.

The NeuroEndoMetabolic (NEM) Stress Response of your body is a self-regulatory system that protects the body from stress. In particular, the symptoms above are associated with the metabolic response. A nutrient-rich diet can help repair and restore your adrenals and metabolism, improving overall health.

Eating enough protein can help greatly in coping with exhaustion while reducing spikes in blood sugar. When preparing for this creamy chicken salad, buy fresh organic chicken from your local farmer’s market to reap its full benefits. You could also buy a whole chicken and preserve the bones to make nutritious bone broth.

The Bibb lettuce in this recipe is juicy and loaded with flavor yet low in calories. It is a good source of several important nutrients including vitamin A, vitamin K, folate, and potassium. One cup of Bibb lettuce can help meet over 70% of your daily recommended vitamin A intake. It also helps to meet over 60% of the RDA of vitamin K.

Radishes are rich sources of vitamin C, potassium, fiber, riboflavin, phytochemicals, and folate. They are also loaded with antioxidants, including beta-carotene and lutein, that help fight against free radicals and various diseases such as heart disease and cancer. Indoles are powerful detoxifying agents found in radishes.

Cherries are rich in anti-inflammatory properties. Melatonin, an antioxidant found in cherries, is known to have a calming effect on the nervous system. While stress is the root cause of AFS, cherries help to soothe irritability, relax the nerves, and promote good sleep, providing relief from adrenal fatigue. Other nutrients found in cherries include zinc, manganese, iron, and copper. Studies suggest that the peonidin, cyanidin, and hydroxycinnamic acids present in sweet cherries can protect neuronal cells from damage. Eating cherries can also help reduce oxidative stress due to the presence of phenols such as isorhamnetin, quercetin, and kaempferol. However, since cherries are high in fructose, they are best eaten in moderation.

Cayenne is a powerhouse of capsaicin which helps fight against inflammation. Chives are loaded with vitamin K, antioxidants, iron, calcium, potassium, manganese, zinc, and phosphorous.

Though these ingredients may seem simple, they are very good for you and are a great part of a diet that helps support a healthy body for years to come.
