Decrease by 0.25 (if drinking 1-2 cups a day) to 0.5 (if drinking > than 2 cups a day) cups every week is a good start, so the body doesn’t go into withdrawal. Substituting with green tea may also help with the withdrawal because green tea has about half the caffeine content as compare to coffee. The next step after that is to move to water or decaffeinated coffee which only has about 5-10% of the caffeine content compared to regular coffee.
