Why Am I Frequently Waking in the Middle of the Night

Q: Waking up to go the bathroom is something I’ve never had to do and I feel like my fluid intake has stayed at a constant. Is it natural to wake up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom frequently?

A: One should not have to wake up to go to the bathroom except for circumstances that prevent your blander to hold the urine during sleep. Examples of this can include ageing, excess fluid intake before sleep, poor bladder control, infection, taking diuretics, fibroids in the uterus pressing on the bladder and a host of other structural problem.
