I read about Reactive Sympathoadrenal Response and Sympathetic Overtone

Q: I read about Reactive Sympathoadrenal Response (RSR) and Sympathetic Overtone (SO) in your book, but am still confused on how to tell the difference between the two. Could you explain further?

A: RSR refers to the activation and overload of both epinephrine and norepinephrine. This is a more severe form of autonomic nervous system stimulation compared to SO, where only the norepinephrine output is high while the epinephrine output is relatively low key.
