Natural Anxiety Relief Through Adrenal Fatigue Treatment
Q: I suffer from AF, but I also suffer from Anxiety/Depression. My doctor had me on an antidepressant, but it did not help at all. He now wants to try me on a different antidepressant. I really would much rather stick to natural anxiety relief. Could you recommend something that I could do or supplements that I should take to reduce my anxiety and help with depression?
A:Natural anxiety relief is a complex issue. First, you need to look at the root cause of your depression/anxiety that is Adrenal Fatigue syndrome. If you do not improve the stage of Adrenal Fatigue Syndrome, it would be difficult to improve your anxiety/depression. Depression can be due to neurotransmitter imbalance. This can be due to a wide variety of reasons, with Adrenal Fatigue being one of them. Cortisol, DHEA, testosterone and estrogen are all produced in the adrenals. Decreased levels of each of these hormones and reduced adrenal function have been linked to depression. It comes as no surprise that adrenal exhaustion is strongly associated with increased fears, anxiety, depression, brain fog, and difficulties in concentrating. People with adrenal exhaustion often have less tolerance than they normally would and are more easily frustrated. Adherence to the adrenal fatigue treatment, as natural anxiety relief, is key to recovery from not only the mental disturbances but from Adrenal Fatigue Syndrome itself.
Q: I’ve had severe depression since I’ve had Adrenal Fatigue. My doctor wants to put me on antidepressants but I don’t want to go on them. Will my depression get better as I get better?
A:Depression can be due to neurotransmitter imbalance. People with advanced adrenal exhaustion often have less tolerance than they normally would and are more easily frustrated. In general, as your Adrenals get stronger, the depression should improve.
Q: I’m very sensitive to even very low doses of supplements for adrenal fatigue. Why?
A:There are multiple reasons that can lead to hypersensitivity, including sensitivity to the binders and fillers and coloring that may be present in the supplement. Do not simply write off the supplements as not suitable, as you don’t want to miss the opportunity of good supplementation when the cause is yet to be found out. One of the most common reason is severe liver congestion. Supplements need to be broken down into smaller metabolites by the liver prior to being excreted by the body as waste. Excessive supplementation or a body that is weak can lead to a body that is highly sensitive and thus able to tolerate supplements.
Q: If I don’t eat at certain times or frequently enough, my body almost goes into panic mode. I get light headed/dizzy, nauseous, shaky/anxiety. How can I help balance my blood sugar gently enough if I have adrenal fatigue?
A:The root problem is when you have hypoglycemia and Adrenal Fatigue concurrently. The ability to balance the metabolic problem becomes very challenging, because sugar is a critical and needed fuel for daily function, maintaining that at steady level has to be a priority. Adrenal healing will usually bring out more stable blood sugar automatically, but that can take some time. Depending on how severe the hypoglycemia is, one has to be able to prioritize properly. Until that is figure out, it is best to put sugar stabilization as top priority, so in the meantime, you need to eat frequently to avoid the body going into a panic mode.
Q: Is sex too exasperating for someone with adrenal fatigue? If so how?
A:Sex can be a source of Adrenal Fatigue crash, because of the stress or energy exerted while having sex can drain internal fluids, trigger over release of adrenaline, and physically tiring.
Q: What are the best natural ways to help with anxiety and digestive problems while building my adrenals?
A:Taking enzymes and probiotics may help. Digestion issues, such as diarrhea, constipation, gastritis, acid reflux, IBS are common in Adrenal Fatigue, as is anxiety and other mental disturbances. This can be due to many reasons, including assimilation, hormone imbalances, as well as internal dysbiosis issues. Following the Adrenal Fatigue diet may help with your digestive problems and supply natural anxiety relief.
