Why is the thyroid so affected with Adrenal Fatigue?
Q: Why is the thyroid so affected with Adrenal Fatigue?
A: When the adrenal gland is fatigue, the thyroid has to work very hard to compensate for the fatigue. Furthermore, a weak adrenal system also slows down the end organ’s response to thyroid stimulation. This blunted response occurs especially in the advance stages. So the thyroid tends to get burnt out over time, resulting in a clinical picture of hypothyroid. Fortunately, this can be reversed most of the time if damage is not too severe.
