Turmeric Sesame Balls Recipe
- ½ cup sesame seeds
- ½ tsp turmeric
- 2.5 tbsp maple syrup
- 2 tbsp tahini (room temperature)
- ½ tsp cardamom
- 1 pinch sea salt
- 1 tbsp coconut flour
- In a skillet over medium heat toast sesame seeds from Ingredients A for about 6 to 7 min until light brown. Switch off heat and add in turmeric when sesame seeds are still warm. Stir to combine.
- Combine the Ingredients B in a large bowl. Now stir in the toasted sesame seeds from step 1 into the bowl.
- Lastly, add ingredient C and combine the mixture. Place the mixture in refrigerator to chill.
- Remove the mixture from the refrigerator and shape into small size balls. You may also spread the mixture in a pan lined with parchment and cut them into squares or bars. Transfer turmeric sesame balls to an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to a week.
