With more and more additives being placed in foods every day, it is very important to know how to read food labels. The best diet available is to eat everything unprocessed and whole. This is the best way to get the most nutrients out of your food. Sugar and hydrogenated fats are extremely bad for the body. These ingredients are clearly written in the labels and can be found under "Ingredients". Do not buy products containing sugar or hydrogenated fats as a rule of them. Be careful though, sugar can go under several names such as maltose, glucose, corn syrup, honey and corn sugar just to name a few.
