How Much Protein Do I Need Everyday?

My Views

Long comment: Although there is no substantiated amount of protein to get a day, there are some guidelines that researchers have put out. A sedentary person needs to get 300mg-500mg protein per kg of body weight. An active person needs 1g-2g of protein per kg of body weight. Body builders try to eat more than 2 grams of protein per kg of body weight. However, protein amount is only one of the factors of ingesting proteins. The amount of protein needed by the body is different for everybody. Other factors include amount of activity of person, protein serving size, type of protein, and amount of amino acids in protein, etc. The best type of protein is one that has high nutrient (amino acid) content, easily digestible, faster simulated, complete protein with nutritional cofactors, and smaller serving sizes which reduces toxins in the body.
